FAQ- Add Money

Q. How do I add money in my RapiPay Wallet?

A. You can add money to your RapiPay Wallet by Taping on add money icon on home page by following option: –

Mobile App

  • Select your payment method option like Credit /Debit, Net Banking, IMPS or NEFT.
  • If you are making payment through credit card or debit card or net banking, you will be redirected to the secure payment getaway (charges applicable)
  • Enter the amount
  • Select the saved card if already added and enter only CVV number and tap to pay or enter card details or bank details to pay
  • After completion of the transaction you will be redirected to your home page with new balance.
  • If you are adding money through IMPS/NEFT, enter your transaction reference id and bank name and amount, tap on request to add
  • Wait for approval from RapiPay Wallet admin
  • After approval, your account balance will be updated with the new balance.

Web App

  • Select your payment method option like Credit /Debit, Net Banking, IMPS or NEFT.
  • If you are making payment through credit card or debit card or net banking, you will be redirected to the secure payment getaway (charges applicable)

Q. Is there any limitation on adding money in my RapiPay Wallet?

A. If you are a Non-KYC user, you can add up to Rs.10, 000 in a calendar month in your RapiPay Wallet. If you are a KYC user, you can add any amount as long as your RapiPay wallet balance does not exceed Rs.1,00,000 at any point of time.

Q. Amount has been debited from my bank account but not credited into my Wallet, what can I do?

A. Due to some of the following reasons, amount is not credited into your RapiPay Wallet account: –

  • Page refreshed by you
  • Poor internet connectivity
  • Lost connection
  • Time out

In that case, your money will be refunded into your bank account. This may take 2 to 3 days as most of the banks process refund in 2 to 3 days or some banks may take 7 days also to process refund. RapiPay also shares the transaction reference number, so that they can easily validate and refund your amount. If bank is not sharing your payment status you can contact to our RapiPay Support Team.

FAQ-Mobile/DTH Recharge

Q. How can I perform recharge operations for mobile or DTH?

A. It is very simple using RapiPay Wallet App or through Web App

Mobile App

  • Login into your RapiPay Wallet Account
  • Select the option for recharge of mobile number
  • Enter the mobile number or select from the contacts to recharge
  • Enter the mobile number or select from the contacts to recharge
  • Mobile will get recharged successfully

Same process will go for DTH recharge.

Web App

  • Login into your RapiPay Wallet Account
  • Select the option for recharge of mobile number
  • Enter the mobile number
  • Enter the mobile number
  • Mobile will get recharged successfully

FAQ-Request money

Q. What is request money?

A. You can request money for your RapiPay wallet account from your friends and family by using their contact number.

Q. How do I request for money?

A. Open RapiPay wallet application and follow the below process

  • Tap on home Request money icon
  • Enter your friends and family mobile number or you can choose from the contact details
  • Enter the amount and tap on request money
  • Your friend or family will get a SMS/EMAIL or push notification that the money has been requested by you.

FAQ-Send Money/Transfer Funds

Q. What is send money?

A. You can send the money to your friends and family on their mobile number, by using RapiPay Wallet App or Web App.

Q. How can I send money to my friends and family?

A. Sending money to friends & family is very simple, easy and fast: –

Mobile App

  • Open RapiPay App
  • Tap on Send money
  • Then Tap on send money to mobile
  • Enter your friends and Family mobile number, if you don’t remember, you can choose from your contact details after taping on contact icon on the screen
  • Enter the amount
  • Put remarks and tap on send
  • If you have sufficient balance in your RapiPay account, money will be sent to your friends and Family, otherwise you will be redirected to add money option where you can add the money in your RapiPay Wallet and then send money to your Friends and Family
  • The person receiving the money will receive an SMS/email and push notification if he/she has the RapiPay wallet account and app, else will receive only the SMS on the mobile number.

Q. In what time, can I start transferring the funds?

A. There will be a cooling period of 10 minutes for transferring of funds upon creation of RapiPay Wallet or loading / reloading of funds into the Wallet or after adding a beneficiary.

Q. I have sent money to my friends and Family, who don’t have RapiPay wallet, in that case, how he/she will receive the money?

A. There will be a cooling period of 10 minutes for transferring of funds upon creation of RapiPay Wallet or loading / reloading of funds into the Wallet or after adding a beneficiary.

Q. Is there any charge to send money through RapiPay?

A. No, sending money is totally free of cost to friends and family.

Q. Is there any limitation to send the money?

A. You can send money in a calendar month Rs. 10,000 as per RBI guidelines, if you want to send more money, upgrade your wallet to full KYC wallet.

Q: How will I get a refund for a failed transaction made through NYE Wallet/NYE Prepaid Card?

A. If the transaction has failed, an auto-refund will be initiated that will be credited to the wallet within 3 days. If the transaction is successful and still the issue persists you can raise a service request by following the steps:
Wallet Home Screen > Help & Support > Select transaction > Select a reason for service request > Enter description > Click Submit

Q: How can I report an unauthorised transaction?

A. In case, if you find any unauthorised transactions, you can report it to us by sending an email from your registered email ID to fraudalerts@rapipay.com.
You can also report it to us through our app and website by following the steps:
Go to Wallet Home Screen > Help & Support > Select transaction > Select a reason for service request > Enter description > Click Submit

FAQ-Quick Pay

Scan Code (Mobile App)

Q. What is Scan Code on the mobile App?

A. QR code has the merchant details so you can scan QR code and pay quickly.

Q. How do I Pay when I see the merchant QR code?

A. Open the RapiPay app

  • Tap on Quick Pay/ Send icon.
  • Your camera will open to scan the merchant code
  • Scan the merchant code
  • Enter the remark for sending money, field is optional.
  • Enter the amount and tap Pay
  • If you have sufficient balance in your RapiPay wallet, money will be successfully paid.
  • If you do not have sufficient balance, you will be redirected to the payment details page, where you can add money in your RapiPay wallet and pay.
  • Confirmation SMS will be sent to you and the merchant.

Q. I am not able to scan merchant QR Code, what can I do?

A. Due to the following reasons, merchant QR code is scanned: –

  • Due to dim light, please tap on the camera flash, then scan
  • Camera Issue, restart your phone and try again
  • Etc.

Q. How do I check my payment status or previous payment details (both in Web and Mobile App)?

A. You can check in the passbook option , tap on passbook icon you can view the latest transaction details on the screen, if you want to see more transaction details on mobile app just swipe the screen, select the from date and to date and view the details. For the web also, there is a side menu in which passbook option is available. Select the option, select the date preferences and click on View Statements.

Q. I have made less or extra payment, what can I do in this situation?

A. If you have made a less payment, then you can make another payment with the outstanding balance, or if you have made an extra payment, then you can request the merchant to refund or contact us at care@rapipay.com.

FAQ-Show Code

Q. How to pay using show code?

A. Tell your merchant you want to pay with your RapiPay Wallet

  • Open RapiPay Wallet app
  • Tap on Quick pay/send and Tap on show code
  • After taping on show code, you can view the Transaction Pin and Transaction QR code
  • Share your TPin or show QR code to the merchant
  • Your merchant will initiate the payment request
  • After successful transaction you will get an SMS/email and push notification

Q. I had shared my mobile number with the merchant, but I don’t have sufficient balance?

A. You can add the money in your RapiPay wallet, and then share your OTP or Scan code for transaction.

Q. Merchant requested for wrong amount OTP, what should I do now?

A. Tell your merchant to initiate the new transaction with correct amount. If you have already paid a higher amount then tell your merchant to refund, if merchant is not able to do that then contact RapiPay Support team.
