Rapipay is looking for a talented and self-driven Lead Engineer – Android native apps who loves technical challenges. The Lead Engineer will be laying down the foundations for our NeoBanking Android app in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, high energy environment. We are building a platform for customer banking, secure onboarding, integrations with external systems, wallet, payments, lending, risk mitigation and analytics for driving intelligence from customer interaction patterns. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we’re setting the approach, design, and architecture for a holistic B2C technology offering.
Your work will touch systems at scale that reach customers all across India, empower them with our financial offerings, while having a significant impact on our business. You will use agile methodologies to plan ahead, understand and communicate priorities clearly and work closely with product owners, UX designers, engineers, and architects.
What you’ll do:
You will take on the role of technical SME and a lead member of our DevOps team.
- Deploy and manage NYE end-to-end infrastructure on AWS with focus on security, performance. monitoring, cost optimization and operational excellence
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and processes for fully automated deployments (Blue/Green) with minimal or no downtime
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using with infra-as-code
- Infrastructure and application monitoring, ensuring string adherence to performance and availability SLAs
- Responsible for cloud backup, reliability, disaster recovery planning and related infrastructure compliances
- Mentor and train junior team members in the team
Who you are:
- Experienced DevOps professional with 6-10 years of relevant industry experience. Must have 2-4 years of extensive experience with AWS
- Strong experience with microservices deployment using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferably)
- Hands-on experience with popular CI/CD tools like AWS DevOps services (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline etc.), Jenkins, Gitlab Pipelines, docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS
- Have worked on Infra-as-code implementation using CloudFormation, Chef, Ansible, Puppet etc.
- Experience building and maintaining monitoring stacks on Prometheus, Grafana, ELK (Elastic Search, Logstash and Kibana) and AWS CloudWatch
- Experience and knowledge of RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis, Neo4j etc.
- Possess good knowledge and hands on AWS networking and security services like VPC, VPN, NAT Gateways, IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config, WAF & shield, AWS KMS
- Experience with application integration services like SQS, SNS, SES, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, Step functions
- Good communication skills. Ability to effectively works across teams, understand priorities and deliver quality business outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computing related discipline
Good to have:
- AWS Certification is a plus
- CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) certification
- Experience setting up and deploying Data lake platform on AWS using S3, Glue, Athena, RedShift, Kinesis, EMR
- Experience working with other Cloud Platforms like Microsoft Azure, GCP, Netmagic or others will be an added advantage
